Mar. 1-Apr. 8  "Sports Exhibited" Exhibit at Theatre Art Galleries.  Illustrations from the NC Society of Illustrators with images from the world of sports.  Works by Ross Holt will be on display in Gallery B and the Hallway.  12pm - 5pm, Tues. - Sat.  Free.  (336) 887-2137.  www.tagart.org

at High Point Museum

"High Point's Furniture Heritage" Exhibit at High Point Museum. Examine the history of the relationship between the furniture industry and the people of High Point. The exhibit includes interactive elements, photographs, memorabilia, machinery and furniture. Hours: 10am to 4:30pm Tues.-Sat.; 1pm to 4:30pm Sun. Free exhibit. Mar. 20  UHC NC Marathon.  Full and half marathon begin at Showplace, 8am.  5K Run/Walk begins at 9am.  Register online at www.ncmarathon.org.  $80 full marathon; $90 after Mar. 16; $60 half marathon; $70 after Mar. 16; $30 5K Run/Walk.  (336) 834-9919.

Furniture Shopping in High Point

Visitors should take advantage of the information available at the Visitors Information Center, located in the High Point Convention & Visitors Bureau (HPCVB), at 300 S. Main Street.

The Visitors Information Center offers information on furniture shopping as well as maps and individual brochures on some of the furniture stores in the area. Be sure to pick up a Visitor & Dining Guide when you stop by.

(Visitors Information Center is located at 300 South Main Street, corner of Green and Main, Monday through Friday)
